A Complete Landscape Transformation Designed for Community Use
The Help Center serves as a vital community resource, requiring outdoor spaces that support recreation, gathering, and day-to-day operations. The existing landscape needed a comprehensive upgrade to better align with the organization’s mission—creating outdoor areas that were safe, inclusive, and adaptable for a variety of uses.
Terrain was brought in to reimagine the site holistically, balancing natural beauty with practical infrastructure improvements.

The primary challenge was executing a complete landscape transformation while maintaining accessibility and minimizing disruption to ongoing activities. The site required thoughtful planning to integrate multiple elements—including trails, play areas, planting zones, and operational features—into a cohesive, functional environment that would stand up to regular use and Montana’s seasonal conditions.
Designing flow, function, and longevity.
Terrain approached the project with a site-wide strategy focused on flow, longevity, and user experience. Our scope included:
Installation of a new walking trail to improve circulation and encourage outdoor engagement
Creation of new flower beds, shrubs, and tree plantings to define spaces and enhance aesthetics
Installation of new playground equipment to expand recreational opportunities
Construction of a fenced chicken coop area to support onsite programming
Installation of a new irrigation system to ensure efficient, consistent watering and long-term plant health
Every phase was carefully coordinated to align with the Help Center’s operational needs while delivering high-quality, durable results.
